An Iowa Lodge resident was arrested after threatening the life of a woman who lives in the same building.

Police say the incident occurred Wednesday around 11:35 am. 26-year-old Devontae King allegedly saw the woman who lives in a neighboring room walk past his room. He reportedly exited his room and confronted her just outside.

The woman alleges that King said, “Why did you lie to the police, bitch? I’m going to kill you, bitch,” before running back into his room.

Police were called and King was arrested. He’s been charged with 1st degree harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor. A no-contact order was requested between the two parties involved.

A check of court records shows King having several charges in the past, ranging from misdemeanors to felonies.
