Johnson County deputies arrested a Cedar Rapids woman earlier this week when the van they unlocked for her allegedly contained marijuana.

The incident happened in Swisher on 120th Street Tuesday just before 7:30 pm.  37-year-old Lachon Anderson called for assistance after he locked himself out of his 2003 Chrysler Town and Country van. Once the van was opened, an odor of marijuana was reportedly detected.  A probable cause search allegedly located a 31-gram large bag containing a green, leafy substance that had the odor and resemblance of marijuana.  The bag also reportedly contained a small scale with marijuana residue on it, and individual baggies.  Anderson allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana in the vehicle.

She was charged with a Controlled Substance violation, Marijuana Possession, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  If convicted on all counts, Anderson could be sentenced to over six years in prison.
