Iowa City police say a reported downtown armed robbery reported Saturday night was unfounded.
According to a release from the city, police responded to a reported armed robbery in the area of Washington and Dubuque streets at approximately 11:50pm. A University of Iowa Hawk Alert was issued related to the incident.
ICPD located the reporting party and upon further investigation, found no evidence of the reported crime. This incident remains under investigation.
