A new case management conference has been set for a rural Iowa City man accused of having sex with a child.

19-year-old Wilian Ramirez was in court for a case management conference on Friday. Online records show Judge Chad Kepros granted an extended deadline for completing depositions, setting a new case management conference for March 15th.

Ramirez, of the Breckenridge Estates manufactured housing community on Taft Avenue SE, was arrested last June after a 12 or 13-year-old child at Twain Elementary School reported having sex with him. Police say Ramirez admitted to having sex with the child.

Ramirez is charged with 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse, a Class C Felony punishable by a maximum of ten years in prison.
