Thinking outside the box like many businesses are doing nowadays, the Iowa City Farmer’s Market has announced that they will offer a contact-free option starting in May due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In a release from the city, Parks and Rec Department Director Juli Seydell Johnson said that the option gives the vendors and the community continued access to locally grown produce and other products.
Farmer’s Market vendors and farmers working with the Field to Family program can participate by uploading their virtual market stall to an online platform that customers will be able to place orders on.
The first curbside pickup will be Saturday, May 9th at the Chauncey Swan Parking Ramp.
