A Des Moines man was arrested earlier this week after he allegedly was found undressing himself outside an Iowa City residence.

Police were called to the area of Rohret Road and Maier Road Monday just before 3:30pm on reports of a man stumbling around outside and undressing. Upon arrival, officers located 38-year-old Samuel Mondanaro wearing pajama pants but no shirt or shoes. He allegedly had bloodshot watery eyes and was slurring his speech. Mondanaro was also reportedly bleeding from the face.

When told to stay on private property, Mondanaro reportedly swore at officers. They moved him off the property, but Mondanaro allegedly moved into the trafficway and continued to engage with police.

After his arrest, the man admitted that his intoxication impaired his judgement. He refused a post arrest PBT.

Mondanaro was taken into custody and charged with Public Intoxication and Interference With Official Acts. On Tuesday, he pleaded guilty and was fined $355.
