With her team ranked 12th in the country, Iowa women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder has been nominated for the Naismith Award Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year.

Bluder, in her 19th year at Iowa, is one of 15 coaches to make the list and the only Big Ten coach on the list. The Hawkeyes, who feature player of the year candidate Megan Gustafson, are 22-6 on the season.

They had been ranked in the top ten for the first time in Bluder’s tenure earlier this season before losing to Indiana last week.

Bluder has won Big Ten Coach of the Year three times and has been named a Regional Coach of the Year three times, as well.

The Hawkeyes wrap up the regular season by hosting Northwestern at 3 p.m. Sunday.
