IC Animal Services looking for dog owner after bite

Iowa City Animal Services is looking for the owner of a dog that bit a woman earlier this week.
According to the information provided, at about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, a woman reported that she was bitten on the hand outside of the Saloon on the Ped Mall. The dog involved is believed to be a male Rottweiler mix with a black coat and tan markings.
Iowa City Animal Services is seeking information regarding rabies vaccination records for the dog. If anyone has any information about the identity of the dog’s owner, they are encouraged to contact Iowa City Animal Services directly at 356-5295 or the Iowa City Police Department at 356-6800.
