Body found in wooded area believed to be missing IC man

An Iowa City man missing since Saturday appears to have been found dead almost two miles from where he was last seen.
Iowa City Police say they found a body believed to be that of 21-year-old Nikolai “Niko” Stielow on Wednesday. The Iowa City and Coralville Fire Departments, with the assistance of the K9 Alliance of Iowa, made the discovery at approximately 1:19 p.m. Wednesday in a heavily wooded area south of Whiting Avenue and west of Kimball Road.
Stielow was autistic and did not have his medications with him at the time of his disappearance.
Preliminary information shows no signs of foul play;. However, a final determination of the cause of death will be made after a complete investigation, including an autopsy by the Johnson County Medical Examiner.
