A self-proclaimed “superhero” arrested for Public Intoxication found his kryptonite after he knocked himself out in a police cruiser on his way to the Johnson County Jail.

That’s according to Iowa City Police. Arrest records indicate 48-year-old Brett Young of Penfro Drive was arrested after getting thrown out of The Airliner on South Clinton Street just after midnight Sunday. Police say they found him across the street, shirtless, showing several signs of intoxication. He allegedly rambled about being a superhero and admitted to drinking.

As he was being transported to jail, Young allegedly headbutted the partition in the patrol car, knocking himself unconscious. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Young has multiple previous Public Intoxication convictions. If convicted on the latest charge, he faces a maximum of two years in prison.
