A topless transient was arrested after an Independence Day binge at College Green Park.
Iowa City Police were called to the gazebo at College Green Park just after 7:30pm on July 4th for a topless female with beer cans spread around her.
According to arrest records released Friday, officers found 48-year-old transient Keri Beard sitting topless inside the gazebo. She showed multiple signs of intoxication, and had multiple open tallboys sitting around her. A portable Breathalyzer test measured her blood alcohol content at .315…almost four times the legal limit for driving.
Beard was charged with Public Intoxication and Open Container in a Public Place. An initial court appearance is set for August 13th.
