New details have come to light about a Tuesday robbery at the Tiffin rest area on Interstate 80.

According to newly released arrest records, one of the suspects told the robbery victim that he had just won the lottery, and could double his money. After the victim provided the suspect with approximately $2,500, the two other suspects restrained him while the other walked away.

The alleged robbery happened just before 8:45am Tuesday at the westbound Tiffin rest area. The alleged victim was travelling through Iowa, but does not live in the state.

The three Cincinnati men were arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Robbery, a Class C Felony punishable by a maximum of ten years in prison.
