A Louisa County teacher has been arrested for allegedly sexually exploiting a student.
According to a news release from the Iowa Department of Public Safety, last November a student in the Columbus Community School District reported being sexually exploited by 33-year-old Eusebio Jimenez Jr., a high school Spanish teacher.
On Thursday Jimenez booked into the Louisa County Jail on a charge of Sexual Exploitation by a School Employee, a Class D felony punishable by a maximum of five years in prison.
The joint investigation was conducted by the Columbus Junction Police Department, the Louisa County Attorney’s Office, the Iowa Department of Human Services, and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
