Coralville Police say a man threatened his child with a large knife.
Officers were called to the Iowa Lodge on The Coralville Strip for a weapons offense around 5:30 Tuesday night. Multiple witnesses stated 29-year-old Jacob Denny had been armed with an almost nine-inch-long knife. Denny, an Iowa Lodge resident, had allegedly used the knife to provoke fear in his minor child.
Denny was arrested and charged with Carrying Weapons, Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon, and Child Endangerment. If convicted on all three charges, he faces a maximum of six years in prison.
