The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission has released its sports betting figures for October, and the figures continue to rise.

Since sports betting became legal in mid-August, Iowans have laid down $93.6 million in bets. Over the 18 state-licensed casinos, betting figures increased from around $38.5 million in September to over $46.5 million in October.

About 54% of the bets are being placed online using apps offered by some of the casinos, while the rest are being placed at the casinos themselves.

Analysts believe that once all 19 casinos are licensed and offer online app betting, monthly wagering would increase from the tens of millions to the hundreds of millions.
