A dancing Hawkeye fan was arrested Saturday after police say he re-entered Kinnick Stadium after being ejected for intoxication.
38-year-old Jason Gault of Muscatine was thrown out of Iowa’s game against Illinois due to his high level of intoxication. Just before 1pm he was seen back inside section 138 dancing on the steps. University of Iowa Police escorted Gault to the concourse, where they observed multiple signs of intoxication. He refused preliminary breath testing and was escorted to the Stadium’s holding cell. A post-arrest breath test measured Gault’s blood alcohol content as .269%.
Gault is charged with Public Intoxication.
