A Coralville woman was arrested late Monday night after leaving the road and running over mailboxes and a street sign.
Police say 28-year-old Abbie Linnell was about two blocks away from her Holiday Road apartment when her Chevy Cobalt reportedly left the road. She ran over three mailboxes and a street sign before a large tree stopped her progress.
Linnell was said to have admitted to drinking and failed field sobriety tests. She gave a .116 PBT on a short breath, but when giving an adequate breath on the Datamaster, it spiked to .192.
Linnell has a previous OWI conviction from 2014. She was charged with her second, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a prison sentence of up to two years if convicted.
