An Oxford woman was taken into custody Thursday morning after allegedly assaulting her live-in partner of two months.
Police say that 20-year-old Destiney Farnstrom of Lower Old Highway 6 Road Northwest and the woman have been dating for five months. At around 7:30am Thursday the two cog into an argument about a cellphone, and who was going to give the woman a ride to school.
The argument reportedly escalated, and Farnstrom is accused of spitting in the woman’s face, hitting her in the arm, dragging her by the hood of her sweatshirt and taking her to the ground. Farnstrom also is alleged to have pulled her out of the residence without her shoes or socks in sub-freezing temperatures.
Farnstrom also allegedly threw the woman’s clothing and belongings out the front door of the residence.
She was charged with first offense Domestic Abuse Assault, a simple misdemeanor. A no-contact order was requested between the two subjects.
