Allegedly urinating next to his vehicle Sunday afternoon led to a Toddville Iowa man’s arrest for OWI.
According to police, 64-year-old Steven Ritchart of Toddville Road was found parked partially on the roadway at the southbound Hills exit off Highway 218 at approximately 1:48pm. Ritchart was reportedly standing next to the vehicle urinating on the driver’s side with his pants partially down.
Police say Ritchart had the odor of marijuana about him, and marijuana and a pipe was allegedly found in the vehicle. He was said to be very unstable and scored poorly on field testing. He refused a urine test.
Ritchart was taken into custody and charged with OWI first offense, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, Ritchart could be sentenced to over two years in prison.
