University of Iowa Health Care leaders have named Pamela Johnson-Carlson as the chief administrative officer at the Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
In a release from UIHC, Johnson-Carlson will provide oversight and direction in the planning, organization and administration of daily operations at the children’s hospital. She’ll also work closely with administrators and leaders across UI Health Care.
Johnson-Carlson comes from the Children’s Hospital Colorado in Colorado Springs, where she served as vice president for patient care services and chief nursing officer. She’s also filled leadership roles in Arizona and Nebraska children’s hospitals.
Amy O’Deen, the senior associate director of UI Hospitals and Clinics served as interim chief administrative officer during the national search that led to Johnson-Carlson’s hiring. She started her new position Monday.
