North Liberty Police say a Cedar Rapids man threatened his on-again, off-again girlfriend with a knife.
The alleged incident happened at an address on North Main Street just before 2:15 Friday afternoon. Police say 34-year-old Patrick Lewis of Wildwood Drive Northeast was intoxicated and pulled a folding pocket knife on the woman, threatening to cut her with it.
Lewis was found by police about a block away walking on West Walnut Street a short time later. He was still holding the knife. Police say Lewis showed multiple signs of intoxication, and was found carrying an open 375ML bottle of Fireball in his pocket.
Lewis is charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Displaying a Weapon and Public Intoxication. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 25 months in prison.
