The city of Coralville has invoked a curfew after incidents of looting and attempted looting at Walmart and Coral Ridge Mall Sunday night.
The nightly curfew is in effect from 8:00 pm until 6:00 am. It began Monday night.
In a news release, city officials say law enforcement agencies will enforce the curfew. Pedestrian and vehicle movement, standing, and parking are prohibited during those hours unless traveling to and from work and home, or providing emergency response calls.
The city also announced that Coralville Transit’s night route will not stop at Coral Ridge Mall (#4420) after 7:00 pm until further notice. The remainder of the route will not be impacted. This change is in effect until further notice.
