University of Iowa junior forward/center Monika Czinano has been chosen as a member of the Preseason All-Big Ten Team.
At Tuesday’s Women’s Big Ten Preview in Rosemont, Illinois, Czinano was chosen on both the Coaches and Media teams.
Indiana University is the top ranked team by both. Michigan’s Naz Hillmon and Arella Guirantes of Rutgers shared Preseason Player of the Year honors in the Coaches ballot, while Northwestern’s Lindsey Pulliam got the nod in the media poll.
The three, along with Czinano, were joined by Grace Berger and Ali Patberg of Indiana, Ashley Owusu of Maryland, Nia Clouden of Michigan State, Veronica Burton of Northwestern and Dorka Juhasz of Ohio State on the Preseason All-Big Ten team.
Preseason rankings were a little different between coaches and media. The coaches picked the top five as Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Northwestern and Ohio State. The media picked the same five but in different order: Indiana, Northwestern, Maryland, Michigan, and Ohio State.
The Big Ten schedule has yet to be released.
