A Michigan man has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse stemming from an incident in Iowa City back in March of 2016.
It was reported that the victim was out with friends on St. Patrick’s Day that year. After the friends left him, the man remembered being at a bar and paying his tab. He then vaguely remembered a cab ride, and his next memory was coming to in a bedroom, with 56-year-old Gregory Hills or Pontiac Michigan trying to get him to sit or lie down and Hills attempting to perform oral sex on him.
The victim reported that he woke up later in his own bed with no memory of how he got there. He had a sexual assault kit completed, and DNA collected in the process matched that of Hills. The man told authorities he doesn’t know Hills and did not consent to sexual contact.
A warrant was issued for his arrest on December 19th, 2017 and a no-contact order requested. Hills was booked into the Johnson County Jail Tuesday afternoon and charged with 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse, a Class C Felony punishable by a prison sentence of up to ten years. He remains in custody on a $50,000 bond.
