Friday night’s first-ever regular season game for the new Iowa Heartlanders ECHL hockey team will be televised on Mediacom.
A release from the cable provider on Tuesday announced a partnership with the team, which will play its home games at XTream Arena on the Iowa River Landing in Coralville. They will televise eight home games, including Friday’s game against Kansas City.
David Fine, Heartlanders director of communications, will be the play by play announcer, joined by NHL draft and prospect analyst Chris Peters, in his fourth season broadcasting for the ECHL.
