The nice weather forecast for this Thanksgiving weekend means lots of people will be putting up their holiday lights. If you find a string that no longer works, there are several Corridor businesses that will accept them for recycling.

Now through January 9th lights can be recycled in Iowa City at the East Side Recycling Center on Scott Boulevard, the Iowa City Landfill and Recycling Center on Hebl Avenue, and at City Hall on East Washington Street.

In Coralville, lights can be recycled at both Hy-Vee locations, Stuff, Etc. on Commerce Drive, City Hall on 7th Street and the Rec Center on 8th Street.

As we begin our holiday decorating for the season, remember you can recycle holiday lights in the Iowa City and Coralville area.

For hours of operation and more information, visit icgov.org/recycle, or call 319-887-6110.
