IC Police seeking information about overnight shooting

Iowa City Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate an overnight shooting.

At 1:08 a.m., Tuesday, police responded to the 2600 Block of Westwinds Drive for a shooting. Responding officers located one victim, an adult man, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment for wounds believed to be non-life threatening.

The shooting remains under active investigation by the Iowa City Police Department. No other information is available at this time.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-5275. In addition, anyone in that area with security cameras is asked to review their recordings and contact the Iowa City Police Department with any potential footage or information about the shooting.
