Parking ramps throughout downtown Iowa City will be free during Small Business Saturday this weekend.
According to a news release from the city of Iowa City, there will be free parking in ramps and free metered parking on Thanksgiving, but Iowa City Transit will not be running. There will also be free parking in ramps and free metered parking on Black Friday, with Iowa City Transit running its Saturday schedule. For Small Business Saturday, downtown ramps will be free, metered parking will be enforced and Iowa City Transit will run on its regular Saturday schedule.
