A driver involved in a rollover accident last month in Iowa City has now been charged with drunk driving.
Iowa City Police were called to the accident scene on the 1800 block of Hollywood Boulevard just before 1:45 on the morning of November 30th. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Skylar Oxley of West Branch, allegedly showed signs of intoxication and admitted to drinking earlier in the evening. Oxley’s breath alcohol level was measured at .233%. Blood test results are pending.
Oxley sustained minor injuries and was transported to University of Iowa Health Care, preventing her from taking standard field sobriety tests. She has since been released, and she was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 4:15 Wednesday morning and charged with Operating While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense.
