Lane closures and traffic shifts are scheduled to begin Sunday on Interstate 80 between the Rochester Avenue/Herbert Hoover Highway exit in Iowa City and the West Liberty exit.
The Iowa Department of Transportation says beginning on Sunday night and running until next Friday, crews will continue reconstruction work on I-80 in Johnson and Cedar Counties that will widen the roadway between Iowa City and West Branch to six lanes in each direction. On Sunday through Thursday nights, weather permitting, lanes will be intermittently closed.
