An Iowa City woman who allegedly fought with police after refusing an eviction order has been arrested.

25-year-old Leah Joselson of Bowery Street was called in Friday for trespassing after being evicted earlier in the day. Officers arrived at around 9:15pm to find Joselson and attempted to reason with her to convince her to leave, but she reportedly refused.

Joselson allegedly was asked to exit her vehicle but she refused.  Police had to pepper-spray her and it took several officers to get her out of the vehicle.  She was handcuffed, but reportedly tried to bite an officer in the leg and head numerous times.  Officers had to carry Joselson to a waiting squad car.

She was charged with trespass, interference with official acts and assault on persons in certain occupations.  If convicted on all counts, Joselson could be sentenced to up to 13 months in jail.
