Two firefighters were treated at University of Iowa Health Care over the weekend after battling a field fire in Washington County.
Washington County dispatch records indicate the Riverside Fire Department called for an ambulance to be dispatched to an out of control burn on 190th Street near Highway 218 just before 5:00 Sunday night. The caller said two of the firefighters needed to be checked.
Two patients were subsequently transported to the UIHC main campus on Hawkins Drive. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
