An Iowa City woman was arrested after a traffic stop allegedly turned up marijuana and meth.
29-year-old Kiara Bradley of Westwinds Drive was pulled over just before 6:30pm Wednesday night near the intersection of Crosby Lane and Sycamore street for reportedly driving with expired plates.
Upon contact, an odor of marijuana was allegedly detected, prompting a probable cause search. Officers reportedly found 2 small plastic bags containing marijuana in the glove box, and another one in a backpack on the back seat. A pat-down reportedly found Bradley with 3 pills that were field tested positive for methamphetamine.
She was charged with marijuana possession and a controlled substance violation. If convicted on both counts, Bradley could be sentenced to up to two years in jail.
