Coralville man charged after throwing tool at occupied vehicle

A Coralville man faces up to a year in jail after allegedly damaging a vehicle.

39-year-old Pedro Gaona of the Western Hills Mobile Estates was reportedly witnessed leaving his residence March 21st at approximately 5:30pm. He allegedly had a large socket tool in his hand, and reportedly threw it at an occupied Toyota.

The vehicle had approximately $600 in damage to the front passenger door.

Gaona was charged with 4th degree Criminal mischief, a serious misdemeanor.
