An Iowa City woman could spend over a dozen years behind bars after allegedly threatening her neighbors with a knife.
Residents of 628 South Dubuque Street report seeing 62-year-old Wendi Clark walk out of the building and onto the front patio while wielding a knife just before 7:45 Wednesday night. Clark then allegedly began swinging the knife around while yelling at the neighbors, including reportedly threatening to stab one of them.
Arriving officers found Clark back inside her apartment. They say she refused numerous commands to exit, and physically resisted their efforts to remove her once they entered.
Clark is charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault While Displaying a Weapon, and Interference with Official Acts. If convicted on all counts, she faces a maximum of over 12 years in prison.
