An Iowa City murder suspect has entered a not guilty plea.
Court records show 34-year-old Joshua Perry entered the plea on Friday. Judge Kevin McKeever set a trial date for August 5th.
Perry is accused of killing the mother of his child, 33-year-old Victoria Skarda, at the couple’s Camden Road residence on January 6th. Police say they were at the residence earlier that day investigating a domestic disturbance.
Perry is charged with 1st Degree Murder. If convicted, he faces life in prison.
On Friday, McKeever set a case management conference for May 16th.
