A North Liberty man was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly threatening to shoot up a downtown Iowa City restaurant.
Police say 21-year-old Donterrius Green of West Penn Street was involved in a verbal altercation with a group of subjects outside of Raising Cane’s on South Clinton Street just before 2:30am. He allegedly made threats to assault several people.
Green was causing issues with staff who were trying to remove him, and a witness reported that Green also made a threat to shoot the place up.
Upon contact with officers, he was allegedly found with bloodshot watery eyes, impaired speech, and had the odor of ingested alcohol. He reportedly admitted to being intoxicated, and was wearing several bar wristbands. A post-arrest search located a THC vape pen.
Green was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication, and Marijuana possession. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to up to 14 months in jail.
