A traffic accident in Riverside has led to a methamphetamine charge against a northern Iowa woman.
First responders were called to the Highway 218/Highway 22 interchange just before 6:45 Saturday night for a two-vehicle accident involving a Nissan Versa and a Chevy Silverado. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says the driver of the Nissan, identified as 44-year-old Lisa Marie Lansaw of Clear Lake, was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability Involving an Accident, and her eighth count of Driving While Suspended. More charges are pending lab results from the Department of Criminal Investigation.
Neither driver, including the Iowa City resident in the Chevy, was injured.
