Loose cow ties up traffic on I-80 in Coralville

A loose cow tied up traffic on Interstate 80 in Coralville Saturday morning.

The cow was reported wandering around the area between I-80 and Highway 6, between the I-380 and Coral Ridge exits, just after 9:15. The Iowa Department of Transportation sent out a warning to drivers that loose livestock may be in the roadway.

Officers from the Coralville Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office chased the cow for about a half-hour before taking it in custody.
