A Lone Tree man faces jail time after allegedly showing police a baggie of cocaine following a reported assault.

The incident occurred at around 1:30am Sunday at Scout’s Honor Pizzeria on Iowa Avenue. 26-year-old Samuel Fuhrmeister allegedly punched someone in the face, causing them to get a bloody nose.  Arriving police asked for Furhmeister’s driver’s license. When he opened his wallet, there reportedly was a baggie of cocaine in plain view.

The arrest reports indicates Fuhrmeister was visibly intoxicated, with the odor of ingested alcohol on his breath and slurred speech.

He was taken into custody and charged with Assault causing Bodily Injury, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication. If convicted on all counts, Furhmeister could be sentenced to a maximum 26 months in jail.
