The Iowa City Fire Department invites residents to participate in an online survey designed to gather community input on the department’s services and priorities. The survey will be open through Monday, June 30th.
Residents are encouraged to share their perspectives by ranking the importance of various Fire Department services, including fire suppression, Emergency Medical Services, public education, and coordination of response to large-scale disasters. The feedback collected will play a critical role in helping the Department assess and prioritize its services to better meet the community’s needs.
Last year, the Iowa City Fire Department responded to over 9800 emergency calls, with the majority being for emergency medical service. They have been awarded Accredited Agency Status by the Commission of Fire Accreditation International, one of only a handful of organizations worldwide to achieve and maintain accredited status for over 15 years.
According to a release from the city, the survey takes about seven minutes to complete. Community members are encouraged to take this opportunity to contribute to the ongoing improvement of fire safety and emergency services in Iowa City.cLIA link to the survey is available with this story at 1630 KCJJ dot com, and on the KCJJ app.
