UI Athletics news release

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa baseball team is set to host No. 5 Oregon in its final conference home series of the season this week at Duane Banks Field, and a large crowd is expected as the Hawkeyes vie for a Big Ten regular season title.

To ensure the best possible experience, fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance online at hawkeyesports.com/tickets. Ordering online helps avoid long lines at the gate and reduces the risk of missing out in what could be a sold-out environment.

Please note Saturday’s noon game, which coincides with the university’s graduation ceremonies at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, will create additional traffic and parking challenges. University lots 75S and 43NW will be dedicated to free parking for those attending the baseball game. In addition, Lot 43W, 73, 49, 53 and Mrytle lots are available and free of charge.

Also note that Saturday’s Senior Day recognition will occur prior to the contest and fans will be arriving early.

Expanded Seating: Temporary bleachers have been added down the third base line, providing up to 450 additional seats.

Additional Restrooms: Extra porta-potties will be available behind the grandstands and near the auxiliary bleachers along the third base line.

Enhanced Concessions: Aramark will offer expanded points of sale and food options inside the pavilion.

Increased Staffing: Additional personnel will be on-site to assist both inside the stadium and with traffic management before and after the game.
