A large fight outside a downtown Iowa City nightclub has led to multiple assault charges against an Illinois man.
Iowa City Police were called to a brawl outside DC’s on the Ped Mall just after 1:30 Sunday morning. DC’s staff told investigators that 25-year-old Jason Osborne of Geneva, Illinois had assaulted multiple bouncers. A number of witnesses said they had also been assaulted, including two who said they had been punched by Osborne. One of those two victims was injured.
Osborne is charged with Assault, Assault Causing Injury, and Disorderly Conduct. If convicted on both counts, he faces a maximum of 14 months in jail.
No other charges are listed related to the fracas.
