An area transient not unfamiliar with local law enforcement has been arrested again.

32-year-old Porscha Curry was called in by staff at the 1st Avenue HyVee in Iowa City Monday afternoon at approximately 5:46 on reports of her approaching vehicles in the parking lot and asking people for money.  She had just been given a trespass warning by police at the same location an hour earlier.

Curry was located in another store parking lot from which she had been trespassed on May 5th.  She was placed under arrest, and a search allegedly found a bag of marijuana and a pipe containing drug residue.

Curry was charged with two counts of trespassing, and one count each of marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.  If convicted on all charges, she could be sentenced to up to 13 months in jail.

Curry was back in the HyVee lot Tuesday afternoon and was charged with Interference with Official Acts when she pulled away from a uniformed officer who was arresting her. She has well over a dozen trespass convictions on her record.
