A North Liberty man was arrested after marijuana was allegedly found in his vehicle.
Coralville Police stopped 24-year-old Kiwan Bolar of Savannah Drive the morning of March 12th on 10th Street Court. Officers say the vehicle smelled of marijuana, and Bolar allegedly admitted there was marijuana inside.
A probable cause search of his 2012 Chevy Equinox reportedly turned up about 15 grams of marijuana, and a glass pipe with burnt residue.
A check of Bolar’s criminal record showed three previous drug convictions; one in Des Moines County from 2022, and two in Johnson County from 2023 and 2024.
A warrant was issued for his arrest on March 17th; Bolar made his first appearance on Wednesday and he posted a $5000 bond. An arraignment will be scheduled at a later date.
