The Keokuk County Attorney has been named a district judge.
According to a news release from Governor Kim Reynolds’ office, Amber Thompson has been appointed as a district judge in Judicial District 8A, which includes Keokuk and Washington Counties.
Thompson, of Sigourney, fills a vacancy created following the retirement of the Hon. Myron Gookin. Judicial District 8A includes Appanoose, Davis, Jefferson, Keokuk, Mahaska, Monroe, Poweshiek, Van Buren, Wapello, and Washington counties.
