An Iowa City man was arrested early Tuesday after allegedly committing a shooting and breaking into a residence.

According to a news release from Iowa City Police, the first incident occurred just before 11:00 Monday night. The shooting was captured on security video.

Then at about 1:30 Tuesday morning, officers responded to the 10 block of Gleason Drive for a report of a man who had broken into a residence and was attempting to steal a vehicle. Police formed a perimeter and located Parker hiding behind a nearby residence.
