A Cedar Rapids man has been arrested after an investigation determined he participated in a string of burglaries in downtown Iowa City.
According to the arrest report, 20-year-old Braden Jordan of Grand Oaks Drive NE was joined by another person and committed a series of burglaries in the area of the 500 block of South Dubuque Street during the midnight hour on April 14th. A white Ford Fusion parked behind 532 South Dubuque in a private lot was allegedly hit, with three cellphones allegedly taken. Area video also reportedly shoes Jordan committing other burglaries around the same time.
A warrant was issued, and Jordan was arrested Thursday morning. He has been charged with 3rd degree Burglary of a motor vehicle and 4th degree theft. Jordan could be sentenced to up to three years in prison if convicted on both counts.
