A North Liberty man has reached a plea deal in a Quad Cities child pornography case.

41-year-old Joshua Lighton was arrested in Scott County last August. Davenport Police were called the 1200 block of Calvin Street on May 17th, 2024 in reference to a hidden camera being found in a bathroom. Lighton was developed as a suspect, and police say a check of his devices and social media accounts turned up 38 images that showed underage males and females in various states of nudity. The children in the photos ranged in age from toddlers to those in their early to mid-teens.

Lighton was charged with 15 counts of Possession of a Depiction of a Minor Involved in a Sex Act. If convicted on all counts, he would have faced a maximum of 30 years in prison.

Online court records show Lighton reached a plea deal on Thursday. Terms of the deal are not listed. Sentencing is set for July 15th.
