An Iowa City man was arrested Friday on a warrant issued over three years ago, accusing him of providing firearms to individuals under 21.

Police say 25-year-old Keyshawn Trice  of Fairchild Street purchased a Beretta Striker, a Taurus G2C and a Ruger EC9S from a local firearms dealer on January 31st and February 1st, 2021.  Detectives investigating the incident were reportedly able to obtain a video, showing Trice inside of a vehicle with two other individuals who were under 21 years of age during that time frame.

The video allegedly shows the underage individuals in possession of the firearms Trice purchased.

A warrant for Trice’s arrest was issued September 10th of that year. He remained at large until he was located and booked into the Johnson County Jail on Friday night. He faces two counts of Transfer of a Pistol or Revolver to a person under the age of 21. If convicted, Trice could be sentenced to up to ten years in prison.
